About Saint Vincent of Saragossa
Vincent served as deacon to Bishop Valerius of Zaragoza and was martyred at Valencia around 304 during Diocletian’s persecution. Early Christian writers celebrated his composure under interrogation and torture. Devotion spread rapidly across the western Mediterranean, making this Spanish deacon one of the ancient Church’s most widely honored martyrs.
