About Saint Teresa Benedicta of the Cross
Edith Stein was born into a Jewish family in Breslau, became a gifted philosopher, and entered the Catholic Church after a long search for truth. As Teresa Benedicta of the Cross, she joined the Carmelites. Nazi persecution led to her deportation and murder at Auschwitz in 1942 alongside her sister Rosa.
