About Saint Tarsilla
Tarsilla was a sixth-century Roman woman and paternal aunt of Pope Gregory the Great. Gregory’s Dialogues remember her and her sisters as consecrated virgins who pursued prayer and disciplined life within their family home. Few independent details survive, but her witness represents the many women whose domestic communities sustained Roman Christianity through hidden fidelity.
