About Saint John of Kanty

John of Kanty was a fifteenth-century priest and professor at the University of Kraków who taught philosophy and theology. Known for careful scholarship, personal austerity, pilgrimage, and unusual generosity, he repeatedly shared clothing and food with poor neighbors. Later stories emphasize his refusal to speak badly of others and his habit of repairing harm quickly.
