About Saint Anastasia of Sirmium
Anastasia is an early martyr associated with Sirmium whose name entered the Roman Canon and became linked with a historic church in Rome. Her biography was expanded by later legend, so details of imprisonment, healing ministry, and death cannot be securely reconstructed. Her Christmas commemoration keeps the cost of discipleship close to celebration of Christ’s birth.
