About Saint Regina
Regina is venerated as an early Christian virgin and martyr associated with Alise-Sainte-Reine in Burgundy. Later accounts describe a young woman who resisted pressure to abandon Christ, but the details cannot be independently verified. Her ancient local cult nevertheless preserves the memory of a woman whose freedom of conscience could not be taken from her.

God of holy freedom, through Saint Regina’s intercession, protect everyone pressured or threatened because of faith. Give young Christians clear consciences, courageous hearts, and the grace to belong wholly to Christ without contempt for those who oppose them. Amen.
