About Saint Pio of Pietrelcina
Francesco Forgione became the Capuchin friar Padre Pio and spent most of his life at San Giovanni Rotondo. Marked by intense prayer, reported stigmata, and long hours hearing confessions, he drew people toward reconciliation with God. He also inspired construction of a hospital, the Home for the Relief of Suffering, joining spiritual care to medicine.
