About Saint Perpetua
Perpetua was a young North African mother and catechumen imprisoned at Carthage with Felicity and companions in 203. A remarkable early martyr account preserves a prison diary attributed to Perpetua, including her anguish over her infant and her vivid dreams. She received baptism in custody and faced death in the amphitheater without abandoning Christ.

Pray with Saint Perpetua
God of courageous love, you sustained Saint Perpetua as a disciple, mother, and prisoner. Through her intercession, strengthen parents separated from children, protect catechumens and persecuted Christians, and give us fidelity that does not surrender tenderness. Amen.
