About Saint Paul Miki
Paul Miki, born in Japan around 1562, entered the Society of Jesus and became a gifted preacher. Arrested during Toyotomi Hideyoshi’s persecution, he and twenty-five companions were marched to Nagasaki and crucified in 1597. From the cross, Paul proclaimed Christ and forgave those responsible for his death.
