About Saint Pantaleon
Pantaleon is venerated as an early Christian physician and martyr of Nicomedia during the persecutions around 305. Ancient devotion is secure, while most details of his life survive in later hagiographic tradition. Eastern Christians especially honor him as an unmercenary healer who offered care without payment and remained faithful unto death.
