About Saint Mary (Queenship)
The Queenship of Mary honors the mother of Jesus as sharing, by grace, in her Son’s royal victory and service. Pope Pius XII established the feast in 1954, and it is now celebrated eight days after the Assumption. Mary’s biblical pattern of humble obedience shows that heavenly authority is expressed through self-giving love.
