About Saint Luigi Orione
Luigi Orione, born in northern Italy in 1872, became a priest and founded the Little Work of Divine Providence and the Little Missionary Sisters of Charity. His communities served orphans, people with disabilities, workers, and the elderly. After major earthquakes at Messina and Avezzano, he personally organized rescue and long-term care for survivors.
