About Saint Leander of Seville

Leander, born around 534 in Hispania, became a monk and later bishop of Seville. He helped guide the Visigothic kingdom from Arian Christianity toward Nicene faith, a transition publicly affirmed by King Reccared at the Third Council of Toledo in 589. Leander also promoted monastic life and helped educate his younger brother Isidore.
