About Saint Landry of Paris
Landry, or Landericus, was bishop of Paris in the seventh century. Surviving details are limited, but longstanding tradition remembers him selling possessions to feed people during famine and founding a house of care associated with the later Hôtel-Dieu. His memory links episcopal leadership with concrete service to the sick and poor.
