About Saint Barnabas
Barnabas, a Jewish Levite from Cyprus originally named Joseph, appears prominently in Acts. He sold property for the community, vouched for the newly converted Saul, helped lead the Church at Antioch, and traveled with Paul on mission. Their later disagreement over John Mark did not erase his reputation as an encourager.

God of encouragement, you gave Saint Barnabas a generous heart and confidence in people others mistrusted. Through his intercession, help us welcome converts, develop new leaders, and repair relationships after disagreement. Make our communities generous with possessions, patient in discernment, and bold in mission. Amen.
