About Saint Juliana of Nicomedia
Juliana is venerated as a young Christian martyr of Nicomedia during the early fourth-century persecutions. Her surviving Passion, written later, tells of her refusal to marry a pagan unless he accepted Christ and of severe trials before execution. While many narrative details are legendary, her ancient cult spread widely in East and West.
