About Saint Joan of Valois
Joan, daughter of King Louis XI of France, was born in 1464 and endured a politically arranged marriage to Louis of Orléans. After he became king, the marriage was annulled. Joan accepted the decision without revenge, became duchess of Berry, served the poor in Bourges, and founded the Order of the Annunciation.
