About Saint Hyacinth of Poland

Hyacinth, a thirteenth-century Polish canon, encountered the new Dominican movement in Rome and received the habit before returning north. He preached, founded communities, and helped establish Dominican life across Poland and neighboring lands. Later tradition depicts him rescuing the Eucharist and a statue of Mary during danger, symbols of his devotion.
