About Saint Hilarius of Aquileia
Hilarius is remembered as an early bishop of Aquileia who was martyred with his deacon Tatianus and other Christians around 284. Ancient records support the names and their local veneration, while later accounts add uncertain trial details. Their relics were moved to Grado during the Lombard invasions, and they became patrons of Gorizia.
