About Saint Henry of Finland
Henry is traditionally honored as a twelfth-century English-born bishop who worked from Uppsala and accompanied King Eric on a mission to Finland. Devotion remembers his death at the hands of a man he had corrected, near Lake Köyliö. Contemporary evidence is limited, yet his cult profoundly shaped medieval Finnish Christianity.
