About Saint Gregory of Narek
Gregory of Narek, born around 950, was an Armenian monk, priest, poet, and theologian at the monastery of Narek near Lake Van. His Book of Lamentations gives voice to repentance, suffering, and confidence in divine mercy. Revered especially in the Armenian tradition, he was declared a Doctor of the Church in 2015.
