About Saint Gregory Barbarigo
Gregory Barbarigo was a seventeenth-century Venetian cardinal and bishop of Bergamo, then Padua. After organizing plague relief in Rome, he devoted his episcopacy to parish visitation, catechesis, charity, and rigorous seminary renewal. He expanded printing and Eastern-language studies while working toward deeper understanding and reunion with Eastern Christians.
