About Saint Francis de Sales
Francis de Sales, born in Savoy in 1567, became bishop of Geneva while residing in Annecy because of religious conflict. His patient preaching helped renew Catholic life in the Chablais. In Introduction to the Devout Life, he taught that holiness belongs in every vocation, and he co-founded the Visitation with Jane Frances de Chantal.
