About Saint Francis Caracciolo
Born Ascanio Caracciolo in sixteenth-century southern Italy, Francis became a priest and co-founded the Clerics Regular Minor in Naples. The community combined active ministry with Eucharistic adoration and a distinctive promise not to seek ecclesiastical office. Francis served prisoners and the sick and promoted prayer before the Blessed Sacrament.
