About Saint Boniface
Boniface, born Wynfrith in Anglo-Saxon England, became a Benedictine missionary, bishop, and organizer of the eighth-century Church in German lands. With papal support he founded monasteries and reformed ecclesial structures. While returning to mission in Frisia, he and his companions were killed near Dokkum in 754.

Missionary God, you sent Saint Boniface far from home to preach, organize communities, and form new leaders. Through his intercession, give missionaries humility and endurance, renew the Church where faith has grown weak, and make us courageous without contempt for those we hope to serve. Amen.
