About Saint Frances of Rome
Frances, born in Rome in 1384, lived as a wife and mother while organizing aid during war, famine, and plague. After losing children to disease, she turned grief toward service and gathered women into the Oblates of Mary, later established at Tor de’ Specchi. Widowed, she joined them and continued a life of prayer and charity.
