About Saint Elizabeth of Hungary

Elizabeth, a Hungarian princess married into the court of Thuringia, used her position to feed poor families, establish a hospital, and personally care for sick people. Widowed at twenty, she resisted efforts to control her resources and embraced Franciscan simplicity. She died at twenty-four after dedicating her remaining years to prayer and service in Marburg.
