About Saint Crispin

Crispin and his companion Crispinian are traditionally remembered as Christian brothers who worked as shoemakers in Roman Gaul, supported themselves by their craft, aided the poor, and suffered martyrdom during persecution. Historical details are limited, but their longstanding cult made them patrons of shoemakers, leatherworkers, and honest labor performed with generosity.
