About Saint Conrad of Piacenza
Conrad, a nobleman of Piacenza born around 1290, accidentally caused a forest fire while hunting. When an innocent man was condemned, Conrad confessed, made restitution, and with his wife embraced religious life. He later lived as a Franciscan tertiary hermit near Noto in Sicily, becoming known for prayer, penance, and service to visitors.
