About Saint Christopher Magallanes
Christopher Magallanes was a Mexican parish priest who supported religious formation and prepared seminarians during anti-clerical persecution. Although he opposed armed revolt, government forces arrested him in 1927 and executed him without trial at Colotlán, Jalisco. He is commemorated with fellow priests and laypeople martyred during Mexico’s Cristero era.
