About Saint Cajetan
Cajetan of Thiene left service in the papal court, became a priest, and worked among the sick and poor in Renaissance Italy. With companions he founded the Theatines, calling clergy to common prayer, simplicity, and reform. He also supported charitable lending institutions that protected struggling families from exploitative interest.
