About Saint Bonaventure
Bonaventure entered the Franciscans, studied and taught theology in Paris, and later served as the order’s minister general. His writings unite careful reasoning with contemplative love, tracing creation’s journey toward God through Christ. Made a cardinal-bishop, he helped prepare the Second Council of Lyon and died there in 1274.
