About Saint Andrew Kim Taegon
Andrew Kim Taegon, born to a Korean Christian family, traveled abroad for formation and became the first native Korean Catholic priest in 1845. He returned secretly to serve believers and help missionaries enter the country. Arrested within a year, he was tortured and beheaded near Seoul at age twenty-five, encouraging Christians to remain united in faith.
