About Saint André Bessette
André Bessette, born near Montreal in 1845, entered the Congregation of Holy Cross despite frail health and limited schooling. For decades he served as porter at Notre Dame College, listening to visitors and directing them to Saint Joseph. His ministry helped inspire Saint Joseph’s Oratory, where countless pilgrims sought prayer and healing.
