Rivers of Living Water

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

O most holy Heart of Jesus, fountain of every blessing, I adore you, I love you, and with a contrite heart I offer you this prayer. Make my heart humble and patient like your own. Let me live in you and for you, so that whatever I do this day may be done out of love. Receive me into your Heart, and keep me there. Amen.

He who believes in me, as the Scripture has said, from within him will flow rivers of living water.

The Heart of Christ is not a closed reservoir but an open spring. From it flow rivers of living water meant to refresh a parched world, and that same water is meant to flow through us. When we drink deeply from his love, we do not keep it; we become a channel of it to everyone we meet.

Jesus, fountain of living water, my heart is dry and I come to drink. Fill the places in me that have grown parched and tired, and let your life flow freely through me to others. Make me not a stagnant pool but a running stream of your love, refreshing everyone you place in my path. Amen.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
