The Ministry of Reconciliation

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Merciful God, you called St. Pio of Pietrelcina to serve Christ as a Capuchin priest and to spend himself for souls. Through his intercession, draw me closer to the Eucharist, reconciliation, and faithful prayer. Give me patience in suffering, compassion for the sick, and confidence in your grace. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

But all things are of God, who reconciled us to himself through Jesus Christ, and gave to us the ministry of reconciliation;

Padre Pio spent countless hours hearing confessions because he trusted Christ's desire to reconcile sinners. The sacrament is not a place for performance but for truth met by mercy. Receiving forgiveness also sends us out to repair relationships and extend the patience we have received.

Merciful Father, give me honesty about my sins and confidence in your readiness to forgive. Lead me back to reconciliation where I have stayed away. Through St. Pio's intercession, help me make amends and offer others the mercy you continually offer me. Amen.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

St. Pio of Pietrelcina, faithful priest and compassionate intercessor, present my intention to Jesus. Help me return often to God's mercy, remain close to Christ in the Eucharist, and carry suffering without losing love.
