St. Padre Pio Novena

Remain in the Eucharistic Lord

Day 3 of 9 · 4 min

  1. 01

    Sign of the Cross

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

  2. 02

    Opening

Merciful God, you called St. Pio of Pietrelcina to serve Christ as a Capuchin priest and to spend himself for souls. Through his intercession, draw me closer to the Eucharist, reconciliation, and faithful prayer. Give me patience in suffering, compassion for the sick, and confidence in your grace. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

  3. 03

    Your Intention

Let us pause in silence, and bring to mind the intention you are praying for.

In the app, your own saved intention rests here during the silence. The narration stays the same for everyone.

  4. 04

    Scripture

    John 6:56

He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood lives in me, and I in him.

  5. 05

    Reflection

The Eucharist stood at the center of Padre Pio's priestly life because Christ himself is at its center. At Mass, the Lord does more than inspire us; he gives himself to us and draws us into his sacrifice. Even when we cannot receive sacramentally, we can hunger for his presence and shape our day around him.

  6. 06

    Prayer

Eucharistic Jesus, deepen my hunger for you. Keep me from approaching your gift carelessly or staying away through indifference. Through St. Pio's intercession, help me abide in you and carry the self-giving love of the altar into my ordinary choices. Amen.

  7. 07

    Our Father

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

  8. 08

    Hail Mary

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

  9. 09

    Glory Be

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

  10. 10

    Closing

St. Pio of Pietrelcina, faithful priest and compassionate intercessor, present my intention to Jesus. Help me return often to God's mercy, remain close to Christ in the Eucharist, and carry suffering without losing love. Pray that I may serve the wounded with patience and persevere in hope until the end. Amen.

  11. 11

    Sign of the Cross

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
