A Heart Faithful in the Ordinary

Immaculate Heart of Mary, wholly open to God and united to the Heart of Jesus, receive me into your motherly care. Teach me to listen to the word, serve with haste, praise with humility, and remain faithful beneath the Cross. Lead my heart away from sin and toward the love of your Son. Amen.

And he went down with them and came to Nazareth. He was subject to them, and his mother kept all these sayings in her heart.

Most of Mary's life with Jesus unfolded in the unrecorded routines of Nazareth. She kept God's mysteries while cooking, working, waiting, and caring for her home. Her heart shows that hidden faithfulness can be a profound offering of love. No faithful hour is truly wasted.

Immaculate Heart of Mary, help me find God in duties that feel repetitive or unseen. Make me faithful in my home, work, and relationships. Through your intercession, turn the ordinary hours of my life into a quiet dwelling for Jesus. Amen.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
