About Saint Willibrord
Willibrord was an English monk formed in Ireland who sailed with companions to evangelize Frisia in 690. Consecrated archbishop of the Frisians, he established his center at Utrecht and founded the monastery of Echternach. His mission depended on patient travel, monastic prayer, local relationships, and resilience when political changes repeatedly disrupted Christian communities.
