About Saint Vincent Ferrer
Vincent Ferrer, born in Valencia in 1350, became a Dominican friar and renowned itinerant preacher across western Europe. He called crowds to repentance, reconciliation, and preparation for judgment. During the Western Schism he first supported the Avignon claimant Benedict XIII, then publicly withdrew that support when hopes for unity failed. He died in Brittany in 1419.
