About Saint Thomas More
Thomas More was an English lawyer, humanist scholar, family man, and lord chancellor under Henry VIII. He resigned rather than support policies against conscience and later refused an oath recognizing the king’s supremacy over the Church in England. Imprisoned in the Tower of London, he was beheaded for treason in 1535.

Through his intercession, guide lawyers, politicians, and civil servants; keep family love strong under pressure; and help us resist both corruption and self-righteousness with courage, wit, and charity.
