About Saint Thomas Aquinas
Thomas Aquinas, born around 1225 near Aquino, entered the Dominicans despite family resistance. As a teacher in Paris and Italy, he brought Scripture, patristic tradition, and Aristotelian philosophy into a profound theological synthesis, especially in the Summa Theologiae. He also composed Eucharistic hymns and is honored as the Angelic Doctor.
