About Saint Saturnin of Toulouse
Saturnin, also called Sernin, is honored as the first bishop of Toulouse and a martyr of the third century. An early passion says pagan officials killed him after he refused sacrifice, while the familiar detail involving a bull belongs to that ancient narrative rather than independent records. His shrine helped shape Christian Toulouse and medieval pilgrimage routes.
