About Saint Rose Venerini
Rose Venerini was born in Viterbo, Italy, in 1656. Responding to the limited education available to girls, she opened schools that joined Christian formation with practical learning and trained women as teachers. Her work developed into the Venerini Sisters, extending her conviction that educated women could renew families and society.
