About Saint Francis Borgia
Francis Borgia was a Spanish nobleman, husband, father of eight, and trusted official at the imperial court. After his wife’s death he settled family responsibilities and entered the Society of Jesus. As its third superior general, he strengthened formation, expanded missions and schools, and used administrative ability once devoted to power in service of the Gospel.
