About Saint Charles Borromeo
Charles Borromeo became cardinal and archbishop of Milan while still young and used his influence to implement the Council of Trent’s reforms. He founded seminaries, visited parishes, improved catechesis, and gave away wealth. During the plague of 1576 he remained in Milan organizing care, processions, food, and medical support while many officials fled.
