About Saint Bruno of Segni
Bruno of Segni was an Italian bishop, Benedictine, and biblical commentator during the Gregorian Reform. He defended the Church’s teaching on Christ’s presence in the Eucharist, opposed simony and improper political control of appointments, and briefly served as abbot of Monte Cassino. His scholarship remained joined to demanding ecclesial service.
