About Pope Saint Paul VI
Giovanni Battista Montini served as Pope Paul VI from 1963 to 1978. He guided the Second Vatican Council to completion and oversaw its early implementation, traveled internationally as a pilgrim pope, promoted dialogue and peace, and issued Evangelii nuntiandi on evangelization. He was canonized by Pope Francis in 2018.
