In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Jesus, I come to you with open hands. I want to stop carrying alone what was never meant to be mine to carry. Quiet the fear in me, steady my restless heart, and help me to believe that you are good, that you are near, and that you are at work even where I cannot see. Into your hands I place this day, and everything in it. Jesus, I trust in you. Amen.

We are told to cast our worries on God, not because our worries are silly, but because he cares. Casting is an active word; it means deliberately throwing the weight away from ourselves and onto him. Each time the worry returns, and it will, we cast it again, until handing it over becomes a habit.

Lord, I cast my worries on you again, the same ones I handed over yesterday and took back this morning. You do not grow tired of receiving them, because you care for me. Catch every anxious thought I throw to you, and give me the grace to keep throwing them until my hands are finally open. Amen.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Jesus, I surrender myself to you; take care of everything. I trust that you love me more than I love myself, and that you are working for my good even now. I let go of my need to control the outcome and place my intention, my future, and my whole self into your hands. Whatever you allow, give me the grace to receive it with peace. Jesus, I trust in you.
