Guidance One Step at a Time

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

God of all healing, you sent the archangel Raphael to serve your saving plan. Through his intercession, guide me on the road, protect those I love, heal what is wounded, and receive the intention I carry. Keep all my trust centered on your providence. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

For I came not of any favor of my own, but by the will of your God. Therefore bless him forever.

Raphael makes clear that he acts not by private favor but by God's will. Discernment therefore seeks the Giver's purpose rather than fascination with the messenger. Sound guidance brings prayer, Scripture, Church teaching, facts, conscience, and responsible counsel into conversation. Follow the light already given, and refuse any counsel that contradicts truth, charity, safety, or human dignity.

St. Raphael, pray for clarity in the decision before me. Ask God to protect me from haste, pride, and deceptive counsel and help me recognize the path of truth, charity, and peace. Through your intercession, may I patiently test counsel and bravely choose the good. Amen.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
